3rd National Summit on 100 Smart Cities India 2017 To Be Held on Aug 18

Developing Smart Cities which are citizen friendly and economically viable is an urban initiative by the Government of India to ensure optimal living condition and benefits to everyone in the society

Acknowledging the great importance of the ‘Smart Cities’ initiative by the Indian Government, Bharat Exhibitions is pleased to present the 3rd edition of their industry flagship event ‘National Summit on 100 Smart Cities India 2017’ which will be held on 18th August 2017 at The Lalit, New Delhi. 

Smart Cities India 2017“The summit will give an opportunity to discuss some of the important requirements of smart cities and the end objective behind bringing all these experts under one roof is to facilitate brainstorming opportunities, challenges and scope for developing a truly smart city infrastructure, regulatory norms, implementation challenges, etc. It will be going to bring together global thought leaders to explore the intersection of technology, innovation, smart cities, skills, regional collaboration and education, says Mr. Shashi Dharan, Managing Director, Bharat Exhibitions- the organizer of National Summit on 100 Smart Cities India 2017. 

With the theme ‘INNOVATIONS, SUSTAINABILITY, SURVEILLANCE AND DEVELOPMENT FOR SMART CITIES’, this forum will trace the importance of various aspects of infrastructure that needs to be planned, designed, built and operated in order to provide the ‘Smart’ attribute to a city development.

The event is being endorsed and supported by COAI; ETSI; ISGF; TSDI; CENELEC and CEN.

Enabling better life, with services, mobility, environment, e-governance, economy and sustainability is the main aim of Smart City initiative.

 The objective is to foster development of future cities by showcasing cutting edge technologies, application of ‘Smart’ solutions and efficient management to build a sustainable environment.

The highly anticipated National Summit on 100 Smart Cities India will bring together the designated heads of government agencies, Urban/city planning, infrastructure development organization, engineers/consultants, disaster management agencies, mobility and transportation experts and technology providers who will discuss on the various aspects of a smart city including urban development, power, energy, transport, technology, green building, network & communication technology etc.

They will also share their expertise on best practice applications including unified surveillance technologies, internet- based monitoring and management services needed by regional governments and authorities.

The event will be a timely opportunity to discuss the key trends, issues & challenges in smart city development, its market drivers and the outlook for India, aspects of safety, security and surveillance in smart cities, role of optical fibre cable network in smart cities and role of Smart Grids technology solutions.

It will also address the areas such as managing energy crisis, climate changes and disaster risks, challenges in deployment of intelligent transport solutions, role of ICT in E-Governance/M-Governance, the key elements of smart social infrastructure (education, health, etc) and the role of cloud computing in a smarter city.

The summit will include plenary sessions, meetings, demos, presentations, projects and solutions. It will also give opportunities for one to one meetings, group discussions and networking and highlight new areas & upcoming technologies with stakeholders who are developing smart cities.
