A10 Networks announces new mid-range ADC and high-end Thunder SPE ADC appliances
A10 Networks has announced the launch of new mid-range Thunder Application Delivery Controller (ADC) appliances and high-end Thunder SPE ADC appliances.
The new mid-range Thunder ADC appliances offer dedicated hardware for SSL performance and DDoS attack protection for enterprises. Thunder SPE appliances on the other hand provide SSL (Secure Sockets Layer )performance, and enhanced DDoS (distributed denial-of-service)and network protection in hardware with the Security and Policy Engine (SPE) hardware to let Web giants and service providers secure data center applications and networks.
The company notes that its new Thunder Series appliances comes with enhanced L4 and L7 connections and SSL performance benchmarks to meet performance and security needs.
The new mid-range models of the company deliver investment protection along with modular SSL components to the customers. These models are especially created with ‘SSL Modularity’, which let the customers to upgrade easily from the present generation SSL processors to the higher generation one that offer higher performance.
The new Thunder Series appliances are based on company’s Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS), which beside protectionconsumes less power and offer better cooling and rack space which are important metrics for large data center operators.
Sanjay Kapoor, Vice President of Global marketing said “With the continued rise of well-publicized DDoS attacks and data breaches, organizations of all sizes are requiring effective protection from the escalating size and complexity of attacks,” he added. “The new Thunder models leverage our software-defined ACOS capabilities to protect not just service providers and Web giants, but also mid-size enterprises as demonstrated by the best-in-class Thunder 3230S.”
