Acronis expands choices of datacenter locations
Acronis announced the availability of Acronis Backup as Service version 3. The solution is designed to provide high value data protection capabilities that create new revenue streams for enterprises without any large investment. The service provides unparalleled deployment flexibility, including a turnkey solution for service providers hosted in Acronis data centers.
Speaking about the service, Serguei Beloussov, CEO and co-founder of Acronis, said, “Opportunities abound for service providers, including backup, secure file access and sharing and disaster-recovery solutions. Acronis Backup as a Service gives them the ability to offer advanced data protection to their customers with an easily managed and monitored high-margin service that delivers security and scalability.”
It is a multi-tier solution which deliver local and hybrid storage of backed up data, local backup on customer premise, and local recovery plus recovery from cloud. The service also provides advanced security, including SSL encryption of management channels and in-transit and at-rest AES256 data encryption. Acronis has provided reliable cloud backup since 2010, and recently opened data centers in Germany and Japan.
