Atria Convergence Technologies a fibre-to-home technology company is all set to expand its presence in the wired broadband segment. The Bengaluru based firm is aiming to challenge players like BSNL, MTNL and Airtel by delivering high speed internet connections to the users. As reported by the Hindu BusinessLine, Bala Malladi, Group CEO of the ACT Group said, “We are now the fourth largest Internet Service Provider in the wired broadband category. We hope to have one million broadband subscribers in the next 18 months from the present half a million”.
The company has also invested Rs 800 crore in the same venture and is ready to infuse more funds in order to make it a success. The company started off its business with 30,000 subscribers five years back and now it has reached half a million broadband subscribers. The company gets its funds from India Value Fund Advisor and has a long list of clients which include Biocon, Radio City, HDFC Bank, Meru, Mahindra Holiday and TTK Healthcare.
The company’s sole aim is to provide high-speed, high-download broadband usage. The firm recently launched the 60 Mbps plan and it claims that to fastest speed provided by any service provider in the retail segment. At present the company is providing its services in the Hyderabad, Bangalore, Nellore, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Chennai regions.
