Airtel hikes postpaid charges by 12 % in Delhi
Airtel, one of the biggest telecom operators of the company has announced to increase its monthly postpaid charges by 12% in selected plans. The increase will apply from the month of December in the Delhi NCR region. The telco said in a message that the decision will be effective from 3 December and bill plan rental for your Airtel mobile will be revised from Rs 199 per month to Rs 224 per month.
As reported by PTI, the Airtel spokesperson said, “There is only a marginal revision in the monthly rentals of few of our postpaid plans in Delhi-NCR with no change in the plan benefits. We continue to offer excellent value proposition to customers.” However, some of the industry experts say that Airtel has revised the rates only in case of the low rental plans.
Presently, the operator has a user base of 20 crore customers, which include both prepaid and postpaid users. This is the second hike introduced by the company in the span of three months. Earlier in the month of September the company increased mobile data rates up to 33% for the prepaid users.
