Anki Drive AI Cars to be Powered by STM32 Microcontroller
ST Micro electronics announced that Anki, a robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) startup, has selected its STM32 microcontroller to power its first product – Anki Drive.
Based on ARM Cortex M chipset, the STM32 provides excellent power efficiency with which, the Anki Drive cars will offer a perfect balance of functionality and battery life.
Stating about the reasons for which Anki has selected the STM32 for its Anki Drive cars; Hanns Tappeiner, Co-Founder & President, Anki, Inc. said that “The STM32 microcontroller was selected for several reasons, including its computational power, footprint and peripheral portfolio.”
He further added that “The ability of the STM32 to process data quickly, as well as offering highly integrated peripherals such as a General Purpose DMA, made it into a great microcontroller for Anki Drive cars.”
