Apple’s changing marketing and promotional activities in India are finally paying off and how. In-spite of decline being seen in the Indian Tablet PC market, Apple is registering a continuous growth in the last two quarters.
The growth of Apple in the Indian Tablet PC market is principally due to the increasing demand for its low cost tablets, especially iPad Mini. In the coming quarters, Apple is projected to increase its market share on account of growing popularity for its Tablets amongst the Indian consumers.
As stated by 6Wresearch, India’s Tablet PC Market shipments reached 0.75 million units in CY Q1 2014, demonstrating a decline of 17 percent over CY Q1 2013. Samsung from its barrio remains the market leader followed by Micromax and Apple.
Samsung commands the Indian market, especially in the 7 to 8 inches tablet PC segment. Conversely, Micromax’s low cost business model has helped them to occupy a significant stake in the India’s Tablet PC market.
