Asus unveils two new Graphic cards Strix R9 280 and Strix GTX 780
Asus has unveiled two new graphic cards the Strix R9 280 and the Strix GTX 780. The cards come powered by Radeon R9 280 and GeForce GTX 780 and are designed to provide a superb graphic rich experience to the gamers. Along with this the cards come bundled with Asus technologies like DirectCU II which makes the performance faster, quieter and cooler. There is also the 0dB-cooling technology on board that makes lighter-gameplay a complete delight. The cards further consist of ASUS DIGI+ voltage regulation modules (VRMs) for superb efficiency and stability, and GPU Tweak for overclocking and online streaming. On the memory front, the Strix R9 280 flaunts 3GB of high-speed GDDR5 and the Strix GTX 780 sports 6GB of GDDR5memory.
Commenting on the launch of these powerful graphic cards Vinay Shetty, Country Head, Component Business, ASUS (India) said, “Taken from the ancient Roman and Greek word for owl, Strix is the brand name for the stunning new ASUS gaming-gear series. Strix means the keenest hearing and sharpest eyesight and the ability to feel the environment, enabling the player to detect and react to even the slightest movement. The Strix brand will this year expand to include a wide variety of gaming gear, including exceptionally-agile mice, super-cool gaming graphics cards, boundary-pushing keyboards and awesome gaming headsets. The first products are these graphics cards.”

These two highly speeced graphic cards also come with a hefty price tag. The company has priced the Strix GTX780 for Rs 44,000 and the Strix R9 280 for Rs 23,000.
