“ASDC, as the Automotive Sector Skill Council, has pioneered various projects to upskill and competitively position the industry. We are always grateful to have such outstanding programmes and strive to upskill and reskill the next generation for a career in the automotive sector, also believe that such programmes will play a major role in the expansion of industry and employment. In the current scenario, the automobile industry standard is rapidly evolving into robotics and electric vehicles, with the electric vehicles industry expected to generate huge employment and the entire automotive industry will become the biggest industry in next five years” ASDC’s CEO, Arindam Lahiri, commented.
We are excited about our partnership with ASDC. Industry’s active participation will go a long way in strengthening India’s career education system, supporting individuals, industry and the country to reach their developmental goals. Said Arun Mittal, Project Director – National Program on Career Awareness [NPOCA]. This is NPOCA’s 2nd collaboration with an industry organisation; last year they had conducted BSE International Finance Olympiad. The goal is to organise a campaign to raise awareness among the next generation about the automobile industry’s job choices, future prospects, economic growth, and environmental effect. The competition will be mostly theoretical in nature, with the goal of clarifying the fundamental concepts of the industry, journey, and the necessity of the automobile sector.
ASDC is India’s first sector skills council, and it has always emphasized on upskilling students in the automotive industry, believing that skilling is the only way to grow skilled employment, self-employment, the economy, and citizens’ secure futures.
