AV-TEST awards Trend Micro with ‘Best Protection’
Trend Micro Incorporated has been one of the leading brands in security solution and it now has two more accolades to its name. Trend Micro Internet Security’s 2014 and 2015 software versions have been awarded “Best Protection” by the AV-TEST Institute at the annual award ceremony in Dresden, Germany.
The AV-TEST Institute awards are presented to the players who have most effective cyber-security products in various test categories. Trend Micro Internet Security won the award for its ability provide efficient protection against malware infections.
Speaking on the occasion, Raimund Genes, CTO, Trend Micro, said, “Earning the best protection award from AV-TEST Institute reinforces the confidence our customers already have in their Internet protection from Trend Micro. The award was presented after an in depth research by AV-TEST, which included evaluation of 28 home-user security products throughout 2014 in six certification tests using their default settings. Analysing realistic test scenarios, AV-TEST tested the products with real-world threats where they got a chance to prove their protective layers.
