BenQ holds no.1 position in Indian Projector Market report by Futuresource Consulting

BenQ Corporation, a Taiwanese multi-national company that sells and markets consumer electronics, computing and communications devices under the “BenQ” brand name is once again rated as the No.1 player in the Indian Projector Market with 19.11 % market share as per the report released by Futuresource Consulting for the year 2014.

Other than Projectors, BenQ sells and markets technology products that include TFT LCD monitors, digital cameras, and mobile computing devices.

As stated in the report, Indian Projector market is extremely fragmented with more than 20 MNC brands presently operating. As estimated by Futuresource Consulting, in 2014, projector market in India has grown by 8% in volume Year-on-Year in 2014 with a total unit sale of 232K projectors.

The firm has also emerged as a leader in SVGA Projector segment with 27.4% market share and Short Throw Projectors segment with 53.7% market share.

This year, we have set-up a goal of retaining our market leadership with 25% market share in India.”
