Bharti Enterprise MD Manoj Kholi resigns from Bharti Airtel Board
Manoj Kohli the managing director for Bharti enterprise has resigned from the board of Bharti Airtel. This resignation marks his exit from the telecom business of the Bharti group. The company has stated that, Kholi has resigned as the non-executive director.
As per the PTI report, the company has informed about the changes in the board of directors and has appointed Shishir Priyadarshi as the new independent director. Kohli was associated with the company since 2002 and held many important positions in the organization.
He also led the operators India operations for eight years and under his expertise the subscriber base of the telco grew from 1 million to 140 million before moving to Africa in 2010. Kholi resigned from his position of MD and CEO of Airtel’s international business to take over as MD of Bharti Enterprises in April 2014.
As part of Bharti Enterprises he looked after retail, financial services, agri-products, real estate, Bharti SoftBank business.
