C-MET Invites Partnership to Support Indian Cell Manufacturing

CMETCentre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) has recently made a partnership announcement for interested parties (PSUs, Navratna Companies, Private Industry or consortium thereof) in the country for collaboration under Centre of Excellence in Rechargeable Battery Technology (Pre-cell) as second co-funding industrial partner to support creation of Indian cell manufacturing eco-system through its indigenous cost-effective manufacturing technologies suitable for small players/ SMEs.

A research revealed that the 3,100 Mw of cell manufacturing capacity in India, 2,000 Mw is situated in special economic zones (SEZ). In module manufacturing, 3,800 Mw out of the 9000 Mw is inside SEZ.

The Industrial partners will get the proportionate share as per funding ratio in the revenue generated from know-how and IPR generated from collaborative activity.

Interested parties may send their Expression of Interest along with details regarding present activities, product line, infrastructure, expertise and plans for implementation of the technology to: The Director, C-MET with full address on or before 30th September 2020 at 1400hrs.
