Canon launches nine projector models, visions 100 Crore revenue in India
Canon has announced the launch of nine projector models including five LV-series and four XEED series projectors in India. The latest series of projectors are best suited for simulation industry, large corporates, education, medical and government sectors.
With this launch, Canon India is aiming to capture 10% market share nationally by the year 2017.

Apart from being used for projecting data, customers are now using it to project movies, videos and games as well. The new Canon projectors are equipped with high quality optics to cater to such needs. We will be reaching out to potential customers across all the major metros and aim to capture 10% market share by 2017.”
The series launched are LV-WX300, LV-X300, LV-S300, LV-WX300ST and LV-X300ST and the XEED WUX450 and the XEED WX520, XEED WUX400ST and the XEED WX450ST. Features, company’s proprietary short-throw shiftable lens, Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) and eco-friendly technology.

- The XEED-ST series incorporate a short-throw shift able lens which is capable of projecting a wide vertical range of approx.75 % to 77 % in addition to a horizontal range of approximately 10 %
- possible effortless installation in a variety of medium-range usage environments, including classrooms and lecture halls.
Canon will also be focusing on providing product training to its employees and channel partners. This will help them to educate customers and spread awareness about the products. Canon has tied up with Ingram Micro as its National Distributor for volume products and will tie-up with AV integrated solution providers for high-end projectors. The firm will also have channel partner incentive program based on the demos.
The new series will deliver market-leading image quality to fulfil the diverse needs of customers like better projection of images of precise colors; lower operational costs, ease-of-use and energy efficiency.
The new series of projectors are ranging from INR 40,750 to INR 5,00,000.
