Cisco deploys Radware as an OEM for DDos technology mitigation
Radware the security solution provider for virtual and cloud data centers has revealed that Cisco has deployed it for the delivering the distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation technology for the new Cisco Firepower 9300 appliance designed for service providers.
Speaking about the same, Nikhil Taneja, Country Manager and Regional Director, India and SAARC, said, “We are excited to be a part of Cisco’s next generation security platform – the Firepower 9300 appliance. By incorporating Radware’s DDoS protection on the Firepower 9300 with Cisco’s unique security approach, a more threat centric solution will be available to the service providers, including advanced firewalling, DDoS protection, and other security protection services.”
The DDoS mitigation technology recognizes and decreases cyber threats, especially those targeting application availability and it does so in the shortest amount of time. The technology is a real-time, behavioral based, mitigation solution that helps protect against security threats targeted at the availability of the protected service, without blocking legitimate user traffic.
Jack Sorci, Vice President of Business Development for Radware, said, “We are happy to have partnered with Cisco in order to provide them with a robust DDoS protection solution that they’ve integrated into their new product line. This partnership furthers our cooperation with Cisco around its key data center initiatives with our application delivery and security solutions for ACI, UCS and SDN.”
