Citrix augments free web conferencing tool en route for GoToMeeting
Citrix from its quarter announced the launch of GoToMeeting Free, a web-based communications platform that offers users quick and simple video sync-ups. With just one click, GoToMeeting Free is but a fast way to instantly communicate, whether discussing a project with colleagues or for that matter just chatting with friends in another nation.
“Offering a free, lightweight version of GoToMeeting meets the needs of everyday consumers while also giving business users confidence in a secure platform backed by Citrix. GoToMeeting Free can be used for work or play, on the fly, at any time and from anywhere.”
GoToMeeting Free, which is now accessible via Chrome browser, provides free, unlimited-use video conferencing for up to three people. It is an entirely browser-based platform that allows users to seamlessly join an audio/video call without needing to log in, download additional software, or enable plug-ins.
“GoToMeeting Free is yet another example of how we are responding to customer needs to create innovative communication tools that reach a broader audience,” alleged Phil Chambers, product line director, GoToMeeting.
