NEC Corporation and NEC Asia Pacific announces its engagement as a Gold Sponsor at the 24th GovernmentWare (GovWare) in Singapore. Amid of the theme “Building a Secure Smart Nation” – NEC will focus on cybersecurity technologies and advanced biometrics; the company will demonstrate its latest technologies that can make Smart Cities safer for the generation of tomorrow.
As the government and enterprises are extensively migrating to cloud technologies for storing their data; NEC will introduce a new technology concept which comprises a suite of solutions that will seamlessly secure sensitive files and data over heterogeneous cloud domains using silicon-based biometrics, a state-of-the-art identity identification system, which is set to be a game-changer for organizations that place high priority on identity management and authentication.

- NEC’s Cyber Security Factory, which aims to provide security surveillance of customer information systems, in-depth analysis of cyber incidents, and development of cyber security technologies to deal with evolving cyberattacks; and Cyber Range which provides a realistic training simulation environment to test security responses.
- NEC’s powerful face recognition technology – NeoFace Reveal – which helps law enforcement agencies to enhance poor quality latent face images and matching accuracy, will also be showcased at the event.
Dr Paul Wang, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Strategy & Management for the Global Safety Division, will also be presenting the theme of “A Cryptographic Look at Cloud Computing for Smart and Safer Cities” on 7 October 2015 at 4.15 pm (MR 300-302, Level 3). Dr Wang will speak on the challenges and security issues related to cloud computing, followed by a sneak preview of NEC’s innovative concept of securing sensitive files and data over heterogeneous cloud domains.
