Red Hat has appointed Rajesh Rege as the managing director for Red Hat India. He will be working with all the business units to advance the open source benefits of cloud IT to meet customer needs in India. He brings along with him 26 years of experience in the field of business management, national sales management and various other management roles in multinational companies.
Speaking about the new appointment, Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, senior VP and GM, Red Hat APAC said, “Rajesh’s appointment will further add to the value of the Red Hat management team in APAC, and especially in India as it grows as a key market for open source. I am confident that he will be able to drive and advance our strong portfolio of Asia-Pacific and India clients.”
Before becoming a part of Red Hat he was associated with Cisco as the director and country head of Data Centre and Cloud Business for Cisco India and SAARC for the period of four years. Prior to that, he served Sun Microsystems for eleven years.
