Cyberoam launches CR10wiNG Wireless Security Appliances

CR10wiNG Wireless Security

The Network Security appliances provider, Cyberoam has launched CR10wiNG Wireless Security Appliances, which the company is touting as the “fastest and most affordable UTM appliance”. It comes with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities for the SOHO/ROBO markets and support up to eight virtual access points.

The Cyberoam CR10wiNG delivers UTM security features over WLAN and offers high performance with firewall at a speed of 400Mbps and UTM at speed of 60Mbps.

CR10wiNG is built on Cyberoam’s Layer 8 technology that let the administrators apply User identity-based security policies and manage Guest Internet entrée in the network. It supports multiple virtual access points that create independent, segregated networks in the same physical area for separate teams like sales, marketing, guest users, and more.

The device runs on CyberoamOS and it is centrally controllable via Cyberoam Central Console (CCC) and Cyberoam’s on-Cloud Management Service, it is compatible with Cyberoam’s Open Source logging and reporting solution iView.

Speaking at the launch Abhilash Sonwane, Sr. Vice President- Technology & Products, Cyberoam said, “CR10wiNG is designed for small and branch offices to offer secure Wi-Fi at par with wired security.  It enables a leaner Wi-Fi security infrastructure to organizations by replacing both Wi-Fi router and firewall with a single appliance. For remote offices with limited connectivity options, CR10wiNG also offers 3G/4G USB support.”
