DCD Recognises APAC Data Center Engineers with Prestigious Industry ‘Oscars’
The DatacenterDynamics Asia Pacific Awards, taking place during the Singapore Data Center Week, set a benchmark of data center engineering and management across South-East Asia, DatacenterDynamics gala dinner at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on Wednesday.
Under the independent panel of industry experts, the special event also hosted the Industry ‘Oscars’ for the Industry stalwarts intuiting in their respective domains.
“The diversity and quality of this year’s entries has been outstanding,” said Chairman of the judges, Ed Ansett. “The majority of the projects that we have had to consider are world-class, which is indicative of a fast-maturing industry sector. Every project or team that has made the next stage is noteworthy.”
Keith Murray, regional vice-president for Data Center Solutions (APAC) at Schneider Electric, headline sponsor of the Awards programme, commented: “We are delighted to again be supporting the DCD Awards. It is programmes such as this that spur data center owners and operators to embrace best practice and innovation, and all the finalists are exemplars to the wider community.”
Gala Dinner
The winners of each category were announced at a gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. At the same event, the winners of two additional categories were announced: Ka Vin Wong, Managing Director of 1-Net won the “Data Center Evangelist Award”, sponsored by Digital Realty; while Tomoo Misaki, Senior Researcher/Manager at NRI, won the “Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Center Industry”, sponsored by iO.
