Dell India, a leading end-to-end technology solutions source today announced that it has reached the No.1 position in the Indian PC Market braced with a 23.1% share across segments in Q1CY2014, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). By way of 33.1% cut, Dell is correspondingly the No.1 Notebook Brand in India. This leadership position, echoes Dell’s belief in the PC business, and trails an impressive growth route built over the last few quarters in commercial as well as consumer segments.
Dell displayed unfailing growth over the last few quarters in the Consumer & Small business segment to efficaciously capture the No.1 spot in Q1CY14 with 21.4% cut. Dell also leads the Small Business segment with an overall share of 26.2% (No.1 in notebook with 61.0% and desktop with 15.4%).
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. P. In an effort to become all the time more accessible to a broadening clientele base, Dell has been dynamically swelling its Consumer retail presence, freshly unbolting its 200th Dell Exclusive Store in April 2014.The company, which of late went private, is aggressively focussing on increasing penetration across all segments and is reaching out to the Small Business as well as Commercial segments with products and solutions through its strong channel and distribution network.
In the Commercial business segment, Dell exhibited momentous growth with 40 percent quarter on quarter over Q4 CY2013 with respect to unit shipment. For the first time Dell also holds the No.1 position in the workstation space braced with 47.1% share.

Building on the forte of its Consumer channel strategy, Dell recently propelled into action a new go to market strategy to further strengthen the reach and availability of its end-user Commercial solutions in the Indian market. This strategy is planned by the company to touch a wider customer and partner base in the Indian market, with extended coverage of Tier-2 and Tier 3 cities.
