Delhi Govt Deals to Make Electronic City

The deal has been signed by DDCD, Delhi and EPIC Electronics Product Foundation.

By following the recent budget announcement, where ‘Rozgar’ was the highlighted point, the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDCD) has collaborated with industry experts to develop and implement a plan to develop Electronic City in the Capital.

Nanotechnology in ElectronicsThe deal has been signed by DDCD, Delhi and EPIC Electronics Product Foundation for attracting investment and jobs associated with the design, manufacturing, sale and after-sales services of electronic equipment in the city, a government official said to a news portal.

The Delhi Electronics City initiative will help to boost design, manufacture, sales and service of electronics to feed domestic as well as global demand by partnering with national and international expert industry organisations, said Jasmine Shah, DDCD Vice-Chairman.

“Efforts undertaken towards skilling of the workforce in these areas will help improve employment outcomes for workers in Delhi, especially for women, and create service capability in every part of Delhi,” Shah added.
