Ericsson launces innovative products at ‘Ericsson Connect’

Ericsson has launched two innovative products to optimize the indoor coverage named as the Radio Dot System and the RBS6402 picocell, which completes the smart cell portfolio of the company. Both the solutions are cost effective and incorporate full range of indoor and outdoor small cells and Carrier Wi-Fi access. The will allow the service providers to deliver high-performance network coverage and capacity indoors while allowing for faster deployment.

The company believes that with the Radio Dot System it will redefine the concept of indoor small cells with the industry’s most cost-effective and modular high performance indoor radio system. It will allow the operators to reach out to wide range of in-building environments with a common solution, including the underserved, high growth, medium-to-large building and venue category. On the other hand, the RBS 6402 is the first picocell to support LTE and it’s a multi carrier which supports 10 different bands. With this portfolio the company also aims to generate new enterprise opportunities for the operators.
