ESSCI Amrit Skill Mahotsav Upgrades Job Skills

The Amrit Skill Mahotsav has seen enthusiastic participation by over 600 experts to benefit from the program to upgrade their skills.

Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has recently conducted the ongoing Amrit Skill Mahotsav as a part of the World Youth Skills Day celebrations.

ESSCI Amrit MahotsavAmrit Mahotsav is a capacity-building program across the electronics sub-sectors, dedicated to upskilling of the stakeholders Training Partners, Trainers, Assessment Partners, Assessors, State Skill Mission Officials, Subject Matter Experts, Academic & Industry on the rationalized and newly approved qualifications (job roles) developed in the ecosystem.

The Amrit Skill Mahotsav is being organized from 27th June to 14th July 2022 as a part of the World Youth Skills Day celebrations.

Abhilasha Gaur, Chief Operating Officer said: “capacity building program is part of our stakeholder upskilling initiatives, and it is being done to commemorate World Youth Skills Day. ESSCI has developed 85 Qualifications across the Nine sub-sectors, including the ones on new and emerging technologies. The sub-sectors covered are E-Mobility and Drones, Consumer Electronics & IT Hardware, Electronics Manufacturing System and PCB Design, Solar and LED, Semiconductor and Components, Security Surveillance, and Industrial Automation.”

“This initiative is undertaken under the guidance of MSDE, NSDC and NCVET to strengthen the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive in a fast-changing world,” she added. ESSCI believes that identifying 85 job roles in the nine sub-sectors will create a huge opportunity for jobs in the electronics sector due to the advancement of technologies and attractive Government of India policies to incentivize electronics manufacturing. Upskilling is no longer an alternative but a mandate of Industry 4.0 to sustain the technologically enhanced industrial environment towards which India’s industrial sector is progressing at a rapid pace.

ESSCI Amrit Skill Mahotsav has seen enthusiastic participation by over 600 experts to benefit from the program to upgrade their skills. Master Trainers, Master Assessors, and Industry Experts are being sensitized through expert sessions focussing on the details of all the job roles in their area of specialization and it is being held twice a week.

The Govt. of India is targeting substantial growth in the manufacturing sector under Atmanirbhar Bharat, the job market is expected to swell. However, in to order adopt Industry 4.0, a highly skilled workforce is the need of the hour and indispensable to make the desired transition.
