ESSCI Inaugurates Skill Development Centre at Dixon Technologies

The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has recently launched the World class Skill development Centre at Dixon Technologies, Noida to offer full-time skill training courses to 1000 students under schemes for skill development in Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India.

ESSCIDixon Technologies is a PLI beneficiary company under the Performance Linked Incentive-PLI scheme of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) Government of India.

The Senior official of the ESSCI in charge of the project said: “Trainees will be trained under the ‘Place and Train’ model at Dixon Technologies. This model is very innovative as there is placement assurance along with on job training for the candidates.”

A representative from the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) stated that this is one of its kind initiatives where the Government, Industry, Sector Skill Council and Training Partner are working as a team to achieve quality Training and Placement of the candidate and also caters the industry requirement for Skilled Manpower.

Dixon Technologies representative said that the Schemes for Skill Development in ESDM Sector will be highly beneficial for the industry and all support will be provided by the industry to make this scheme a success.

Through this initiative, the Government of India is helping the industries to scale up their manufacturing capacities as well as support the industry in developing skilled manpower for its production requirements.

After the training of the candidates, they will get the skill certification from the Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI).

The event witnessed the presence of senior representatives of the HRD, IPHW Divisions of Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), IFCI Ltd. (PMA for PLI), Dixon Technologies, Electronic Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI), Focal Skill (Training Partner) and other PLI applicant industries.
