Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Rajasthan to establish a state-of-the-art Common Utility Centre (CUC) in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
The Common Utility Centre, to be set up for Rs 13.34 Crores, will be located in the ELCINA Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in Bhiwadi, which is the first cluster project launched by members of ELCINA, under the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Scheme 1.0 of National Policy on Electronics 2012 of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
“This Common Utility Centre in Rajasthan is expected to be implemented over 1.5 years and will be instrumental in supporting the Electronics Manufacturing and ESDM companies in the region by providing Additive Manufacturing, Design and Testing services along with Capacity Building, which are essential support facilities required to generate innovative and high-quality electronic products in India. The facility is expected to provide direct and indirect employment for around 500 persons”, said Abhilasha Gaur, COO, ESSCI, said.
ESSCI has been promoted by six major Electronics Associations i.e., CEAMA, ELCINA, IESA (formerly ISA), IPCA, MAIT and ELCOMA. It envisions to enable a world-class electronics manufacturing industry with an ecosystem for skill development and enhance employability of a large number of Indian human resources.
