Flipkart and Yahoo enters into partnership
Flipkart the leading Indian e-ecommerce portal has entered into strategic partnership with Yahoo. As per the association, Yahoo will host a gateway to the Flipkart.com marketplace directly on the Yahoo India homepage. The users on the Yahoo network will now be able to easily access Flipkart while simultaneously consuming news and content of their choice on the Yahoo network.
Speaking about the partnership, Mausam Bhatt, Sr. Director, Online Marketing Flipkart, said, “At Flipkart we are always looking for innovative ways of engaging the customer. As part of the deal, Yahoo-Flipkart co-branded site (http://yahoo.store.flipkart.com/), is available to provide a Shopping tab on the Yahoo India homepage, for all the Yahoo users. It lets them explore the massive range of over 20 million products available on Flipkart, including electronics, apparel, books, home furnishings and kitchen & large appliances. The site is also available on smartphones and tablets.
