Fortinet Invests in UBIqube to Bolster Cybersecurity Automation across Multi-Vendor Environments

The Strategic Investment to bolster Fortinet’s Commitment to Drive Security Innovation for Virtualized Network Functions and Software-Defined Networks

Fortinet announces a strategic investment in UBIqube, a provider of network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN) orchestration.

FortinetThrough this investment, Fortinet’s Security Fabric and UBIqube’s MSActivator will enable service providers and enterprise customers to rapidly provision, manage and automate security services.

The combined solution touts to not only reduce operational complexity and costs, but also enhances design flexibility and service customization.

UBIqube is also a Fortinet Fabric-Ready Partner.

Furthermore, UBIqube’s abstraction middleware technology allows it to easily embed into Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, thus complementing Fortinet’s strategy to deliver automated security for the IoT through device visibility and strategic network segmentation.

Fortinet’s investment in UBIqube, coupled with the expanded partnership, is intended to enhance joint product development and joint go-to-market efforts, including training, sales enablement, and distribution strategies.

Investment will enhance ongoing product development and integration, go-to-market and distribution strategies. Fortinet is investing along with co-investors Fujitsu and NTT DOCOMO Ventures.
