Fujitsu Unveils New Mission Critical x86 PRIMEQUEST Servers
Complementing today’s Mission critical models, Fujitsu announces upgradation of its x86 server line-up. Claimed to deliver the highest-ever levels of performance and stability from industry standard servers, the new-generation updated FUJITSU Server PRIMEQUEST line-up with the latest Intel Xeon processor E7-8800/4800 v4 product family is reported to reach unprecedented levels of performance from x86-based servers, as proven by several benchmarks in general and technical comping as well as business processing.
The new solution provides a migration path with near-UNIX performance for customers looking to migrate to x86-based server architecture with great system performance, reliability and security.
Certified for SAP’s in-memory database, SAP HANA, Fujitsu’s x86-based servers are designed to provide a new path for customers currently running highly-demanding environments on UNIX based systems, such as SAP ERP systems, and Oracle databases.

Fujitsu is enabling scale-up with the new PRIMEQUEST 2000 series third generation servers. New models, available to order immediately, feature more processor cores and more last level cache than their predecessors. This means PRIMEQUEST is also ideally suited to mission-critical applications such as in-memory applications – where results can be processed faster, helping accelerate business velocity, as well as crucial real-time compute operations where unplanned system downtime can be deadly and expensive, such as running billing applications for telecommunications providers.
