The online shopping fever has garnered a lot of limelight and the heavy discounts and exciting deals keep the customer glued to the screens for hours. Realizing this ongoing trend one of the largest brick and mortar retailer in the country Future group has entered into an exclusive partnership with Amazon India. Presently, the deal will cover the fashion segment and later on more categories will be added. Moreover, this association will also mark the entry of Future group in the online shopping vertical.
As per the deal Future group will sell the products under its private label like Lee Cooper, Converse, Indigo Nation, Scullers or Jealous21 and many others on Amazon. Along with this the e-retailer will also help the company in developing new products in categories which are not covered by the traditional retailers.

As reported by The Economics Times, Kishore Biyani, Future Group CEO, said “The bottom line in each of our retail success stories is ‘know your customer’. … Partnership with Amazon, which obsesses to be earth’s most customer centric company, will enable us to leverage their strengths, investments, and innovations in technology to reach out to wider set of consumers across India.” On the other hand, the Amazon India Vice-President Amit Agarwal said that the partnership is a “win-win for all.”
It is also interesting to note that some time back Biyani has condemned Flipkart and other online shopping portals for providing huge discounts during Diwali which have a bad effect on the physical retailers. But, now it will be interesting to see that what all the company will be offering online and at what discounts.
