Green Ammonia Plants in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat

ociorOcior Energy has signed a deal with the government of Andhra Pradesh.

The aim behind this partnership is to set up a 1 million ton per annum (mtpa) green ammonia plant in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Ocior Energy will also invest INR 40,000 crore in the Kutch district of Gujarat to set up a 1mtpa green ammonia facility.

Ocior Energy is led by CEO Ranjit Gupta, who previously served as CEO for Azure Power, co-founder of Ostro Energy and Orange Renewables, founding CEO of Indiabulls Power, and country manager for Schlumberger’s Indonesia Drilling & Management. It develops, builds, owns, and operates green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities, including the renewable energy facilities needed to generate these green fuels. It aims to deploy 4 GW of sustainable green hydrogen capacity by 2030.
