Gujarat government has signed MoU with ZTEsoft, a leading provider of telecom software, solutions and services, a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation to build Smart Cities in Gujarat. The MoU was signed when Gujarat CM Mrs Anandiben Patel along with PM Modi visited China.
This signing ceremony occurred in Shenzhen, China with an aim to make a significant contribution to building smart cities in Gujarat. The good thing about this project is, the focus will be on upgrading the existing cities in Gujarat by using technology to smart city, said Prasoon Sharma, MD, Enterprise & Government Business Unit in India & South Asia, ZTEsoft.
This pact was signed by Mrs. Mamta Verma Industries Commissioner, and Ms. Xu Shan, CFO ZTEsoft Gujarat in presence of Honourable Mrs. Anandi Ben Patel Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Arvind Agarwal Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Mines Department, Mrs. Meenaxiben Patel Mayor, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Ms. S Aparna Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Bharat Lal Resident Commissioner of Gujarat in New Delhi, Mrs. D Thara Commissioner, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner, Mr. Ashok Desai Personal Assistant to Chief Minister from Gujarat Govt and Dr Nie CEO India/South Asia and Prasoon Sharma, MD, Enterprise & Government Business Unit in India & South Asia, ZTEsoft were present at the event.
Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel said, “Govt. of India has approved seven smart cities in Gujarat, and we are eager to move fast on this project.”
Xu Shan, CFO ZTEsoft, said, “We have an experience of 5 years developing smart city model & we have worked for more than 40 countries, 110 cities projects all over the world We have developed many smart cities in china namely Yinchuan, Ningbo, Nanzing, Wuhan, Taicang. We have same culture, same demography as India has. Therefore, we are sure to provide better city, better services and better life”
