Amazon’s E-Commerce Head to make his Exit

Amazon.com’s head of e-commerce, no small job at the online retail giant, is stepping down from the company after more than seven years.

H. Brian Valentine, 54, “decided to retire,” reportedly said a spokesman, who didn’t provide other details.

Mr. Valentine was recruited in 2006 to Amazon from Microsoft where he held various positions, including senior vice president of Windows and the Windows Core Operating System division.

The Amazon spokesman said other senior leaders would assume Valentine’s role following his departure in February.
