Axis Communications announces the successful acquisition of a Swedish company named Cognimatics – company into store optimization solutions targeting the retail sector. The strategic procurement is sought to empower Axis Communications’ retail footprint.
Cognimatics’ technology is known to be used for people counting, queue measurement and occupancy estimation and leverages a suite of video analytics applications.

Axis Communications and Cognimatics have cooperated for several years on both engineering and sales to provide integrated solutions to a number of mutual customers.
