Hitachi Data Systems appoints Mark Ablett as senior vice president, general manager


Hitachi Data Systems a division of Hitachi has appointed Mark Ablett as the senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific. He will be providing strategic direction and leading the company in its drive to capitalize on the fast growing opportunities in the Asia Pacific region, boosting revenue growth and expanding the business.

Speaking about the appointment, Michael Cremen, executive vice president, global sales, Hitachi Data Systems, said, “Mark joins us at an exciting time of growth and transformation at HDS as we continue to expand the breadth of solutions we offer to our customers and partners in the region. His expansive industry knowledge and rich experience in the Asia Pacific market will enhance the impact of our teams and expand the value we provide to customers. Under Mark’s leadership, the opportunities for HDS are tremendous.”

Prior to joining Hitahi he was associated with Juniper Networks, Australia as the vice president. There he was responsible for revenue growth and profitability across the region, and brings over two decades of sales and leadership expertise in the IT industry to the company.
