Honeywell’s IPM Sensor Enhances Indoor Air Quality Monitoring
Honeywell’s IPM series intelligent particulate matter sensor can measure particles from 0.3 µM to 10 µM, allowing users to monitor and improve indoor air quality. The sensor is backed with smart features like self-calibration and energy-efficient performance, with excellent accuracy. Its robust yet compact form factor with multiple analog and digital outputs ensures versatile usage across a broad spectrum of heavy-duty industrial and portable applications.
The Honeywell IPM series sensor offers highly accurate particle measurement with a precision of ±10 μg/m³ for PM2.5 and PM10. It is designed for energy efficiency, featuring extremely low current consumption of 1.5 μA in sleep mode and 50 mA during measurement, making it ideal for battery-powered applications.
The sensor includes intelligent self-calibration with an inbuilt algorithm that compensates for drift over its lifetime, providing over eight years of mean time to failure (MTTF) with 24/7 operation. Its sleek and robust design is achieved through durable metal housing. Additionally, the sensor offers flexibility in outputs with two digital options (I²C and UART) and one analog output (PWM).
