HP expands reseller agreement with SAP for application security software

HP has entered into a reseller agreement with SAP. As part of the contract SAP will resell HP Fortify application security software as part of its quality assurance solutions portfolio. The SAP Fortify by HP will enable SAP customers to identify, triage and fix vulnerabilities in production applications, while also facilitating reduce risk by allowing security to be built in during software development.

Speaking about the same, Jyoti Prakash, Country Director, India and SAARC countries, HP Enterprise Security Products (ESP), HP, said, “An organization can suffer significant financial loss, business interruption and brand damage should it detect vulnerability too late. With SAP Fortify by HP, SAP customers can now enhance the management of their software security risk by enabling proactive security testing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.”

This application security will enable SAP to enhance the quality of their product portfolio and will also allow the users Identify vulnerabilities early in the software development process, which is critical when attempting to combat potential cyber-attacks. SAP Fortify by HP is currently available worldwide. SAP, including all subsidiaries, has worldwide rights to sell and support HP Fortify as SAP Fortify by HP.
