HP unveils HP ProLiant Generation 9 servers for enterprises

HP has unveiled a new product portfolio of HP ProLiant Generation 9 servers. These are designed to help the customers reduce the cost and complexity. Along with this it also accelerate the IT service delivery and enable business growth. The idea behind the new servers is the HP’s vision to compute the future of the data centre technology.

The new generation 9 servers address the IT demands of the companies and also scale down the workload. The servers are especially optimized keeping in mind the need for convergence, cloud and software-defined environments.

Speaking at the launch, Vikram K, director, HP servers, HP India, said “ the rise of mobile, cloud, social and big data is driving the need for a new approach to the data centre and its processing engine the server to enable successful business outcomes. HP created the x86 server market 25 years ago, and we have led this market ever since with innovations that have dramatically transformed the data centre, such as HP Moonshot ad HP Apollo. Today, we’re setting the stage for the next quarter century with HP ProLiant Gen9 Servers and compute, which combines the best of traditional IT and cloud environments to enable a truly software defined enterprise.”

The HP ProLiant Gen9 Servers are designed across four architectures called blade, rack, tower and scale. This enables the organizations to triple the compute capacity and increase efficiency across workloads at a lower total cost of ownership. Along with this it also gives them the ability to improve the workload performance of business critical applications up to four times to derive business growth with unique HP storage, memory and networking innovations.

The HP ProLiant Generation 9 servers will be available through HP and worldwide Channel partners from this month and the pricing will vary based on model and customer configuration.
