Huawei inks $150 million deal with Vodafone

Huawei Technologies the Chinese telecom equipment manufacture has inked a $150 million deal with the leading telecom operator Vodafone. As per the deal, the Chinese firm will work to upgrade and expand capacity of the telco’s wireline network to facilitate better handling of the increasing data traffic.

As per a report by Economic Times, an official stated that, data is growing at a very fast rate in India and the telecom operators require better pipers in order to handle the increasing traffic with ease. The solution used by Huawei will enable better management of this. Moreover, the changed wireline network will enable the service provider to support its enterprise services so that it can provide new data rich services to its subscribers. This solution will also lead to the reduction in cost on the part of the operator.
