IBM has introduced new z13 mainframe servers, which are designed to deliver real-time encryption on all the mobile transactions targeting primarily the e-commerce and um-commerce companies in India. The company believes that, z13 system concludes a $1 billion investment, five years of development, exploits innovation of more than 500 new patents and represents collaboration with over 60 clients underscoring IBM’s singular commitment to providing higher value, innovative technologies to the clients. The objective behind the creation of z13 is the growing mobile adoption and large number of mobile oriented transactions.
The z13 servers are combined with IBM MobileFirst and will offer improved performance, availability, analytics and security that will drive optimal mobile user experiences. Talking about the same, Viswanath Ramaswamy, IBM India Country Leader Server Solutions (Power and Mainframe) said, “In a booming market like India where businesses need immediacy and security, there was a need of a comprehensive computing infrastructure for the mobile generation and the new app economy which could redefine digital business.”
