The center has been uniquely edified keeping in mind the dynamic requirements of start-ups, ecosystem partners, corporate and government clients.
It will host more than 70 live solutions across industries, customized for individual clients using IBM technologies such as Cognitive solutions, IoT, Analytics and Blockchain.
The Center is focused on highlighting Cognitive Computing solutions that will drive innovation and enhance a client’s digital transformation. The Mumbai Center will feature various client experience zones such as the Solution Zone, IBM Garage and Sandbox.
While inaugurating the new facility, Subram Natarajan, Chief Technical Officer, IBM India, said, “India is a key market for IBM with high business potential and our endeavor is to bring value through unique industry experiences and state of the art technologies to our clients. At the Centre, clients and partners will not only co-ideate to find solutions to their business challenges, but also envisage their future. They will collaborate closely with IBM experts to discover how IBM can help them succeed in business transformation.”
At the Solution Zone clients will get to witness working prototypes of solutions across industries like Financial Services, Distribution and Telecommunications and experience solution functions when deployed.
The IBM Garage will host ecosystem partners who can work on specific development projects using IBM platforms. The IBM Garage will help them ideate solutions rapidly with a possible development of prototypes to validate them – following an agile development methodology.
Sandboxes are customizable industry solutions that can be modified to meet client requirements and conduct proof of concepts across industries.
“The key objective is to engage and build stronger partnerships with our clients. Through this partnership model, the Centre will drive actionable next steps and clear business outcomes for clients and not just provide a one-time demonstration,” added Subram.
The new facility in India is known to join the league of over other 100 IBM Client Centers worldwide.
