The India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), India’s industry body representing electronics sector is working with Bay Area Council (BAC) to establish India as the global manufacturing hub in the medical electronics sector and other electronics verticals as said in ETTelecom.
ICEA and Minister for IT and Electronics recently visited the USA West Coast.
“ICEA is envisioned and committed for replication of success stories in the entire electronics sector starting with medical electronics and other verticals such as consumer electronics, IoT, emerging technologies etc,” said Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA.
He further noted, “ICEA and BAC will continue to engage with the relevant stakeholders to take this vision forward. Efforts towards the establishment of a mega electronics fund to support manufacturing activity are also very much on the cards and we are scheduled to interact with key USA based players in VCs and investment community to take this forward,”
In addition, ICEA in partnership with BAC scheduled a workshop earlier today in Menlo Park which was entirely focused on the promotion of manufacturing related to medical electronics.
