Indian Startup Entrepreneurship and Disruptive Innovation Awards 2015 boost Startup Ecosystem
To Forte PM Modi’s “Start-Up India” & “Stand up India” initiative, Startups World Network recognized the most innovative and fastest-growing Startups in India. On September 18th around 150 people gathered together in Bangalore to celebrate the stunning variety of entrepreneurial talent in India. 60 finalists selected across twenty two individual categories.
Commenting on the disruptive event, KN Rajan, Founder, Startups World Network said, “India is full of innovative, interesting and creative start-ups. To celebrate this and to ensure that all start-ups get the recognition they deserve, we organized the Startup Award to encourage the budding innovators and entrepreneurs of India.”
“We gathered some of the biggest movers and shakers in the startup sphere to participate in our panel discussions. The panel comprising of Startup mentors, Advisors, Angel Investors / Seed / VC fund managers and Heads of incubators and Accelerators examined the ‘state of Indian startup ecosystem.’ Our members understand what it takes to start and grow a business because they built their own businesses from the bottom up.” rajan added.

India is right now at a threshold of startup boom, as we are world’s 3rd fastest growing startup eco-system. With 3100 startups, India is closely behind UK with 4000 startups and catching up to US which has 41500 startups.
The start-up ecosystem attracted 300 venture capital/private equity and 225 angel investment deals worth over $2.3 billion since 2010 and over 20 mergers & acquisitions worth $1 billion in the last 3 years.
