India’s First Technology & Innovation Museum Opening Soon
It will serve as a one-stop destination to learn about India’s growth in innovation and technology.
India’s first of its kind, Technology & Innovation Museum will be launching soon to showcase the country’s tech & start-up feats in Bengaluru.
The museum will be the first of its kind in the country and is expected to be ready in the next 18- 24 months.
It will serve as a one-stop destination to learn about India’s growth in innovation and technology.
The museum will come up at the NGEF site in Byappanahalli and will blend well with the upcoming tree park project in the area. It will exhibit India’s technology industry which, at present, is pegged at over $227 billion.
The museum will be a public-private partnership effort built with an initial investment of Rs 100 crore. The museum will mainly focus on three aspects.
Firstly, on the technology and innovation coming out of government research labs, academic institutions like IISc and PSUs like ISRO and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).
Secondly, on the corporates and large enterprises –—both domestic as well as MNCs — who have added both heft and capacity to the country’s technology and innovation landscape.
And thirdly, on India’s vibrant and rapidly growing start-up ecosystem.
The museum will showcase the past, present and future of India’s technological growth.
The future section will be dynamic and will undertake periodic thematic exploration, especially in areas where India is leading or might lead, like biotech, urban tech, space tech, digital health, digital public goods like India Stack, urban and civic tech, and digitization of global MNCs.
