Intel introduces new Internet of Things platformIntel Corporation has introduced a new platform to make it simpler for the companies to manufacture internet connected smart devices using its chips, security and software. This new platform will act as software for the companies to build smart and connected devices. The purpose of the solution is to easier to connect to data centres in order analyse data collected from devices’ sensors.

As reported by Reuters, Doug Davis, head of Intel’s Internet of Things business, said that the company is creating compute capability for end-point devices which can scale from the company’s highest performance Xeon processor to the Quark family of products. He further added that, with this offering Intel aims to lead the trend of future computing.

Intel’s Internet of Things Group had made $530 revenue until the month of September, which accounts to 4 percent of the total revenue of the company. However, it grew to 14 percent that was faster than the Intel’s PC business.
