IoT solutions enabled by Gemalto win 2015 Connected World Awards
Gemalto, an international digital security company providing software applications, secure personal devices is now enabling two Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that won the 2015 Connected World Awards. Gemalto contributed its ruggedized M2M connectivity and security tools for these award-winning solutions made by Airo Wireless, and SOLARKIOSK.
The awards focused on Gemalto’s advanced Cinterion(R) technology, that delivers high-speed, low latency wireless connectivity and security for Airo’s first-to-market 4G intrinsically safe industrial PDA as well as SOLARKIOSK’s E-HUBB, a solar powered autonomous energy system and business hub that permits sustainable native entrepreneurship and economic development in communities throughout several emerging economies in Africa and Asia, the press release states.
Further, Gemalto with INSYS icom, a leading technology partner for industrial data communication, assisted with the growth of safe, reliable wireless communication capabilities to SOLARKIOSK’s technology that provides locally operated solar-powered energy services, connectivity, solar products and quality consumer goods.
