JIO Bags Three Prestigious Awards at Big Data & Analytics Summit

JIO team announces that it has been recognized with three prestigious awards on latest Big Data & Analytics Summit.

The three awards and the products that was accolade included:

• Best Analytics Service in Customer Analytics – Foresight (JIO)
• Best Analytics and Insight Leader of the year
• Data Scientist of the year

Foresight is the advanced go-to platform for Network Management and Customer Experience Management of 100 Million subscriber base Digital Company –Jio.

This platform was conceptualized, developed and being enhanced under the leadership of Tariq Amin, SVP –Technology Development and Automation.

Tareq’s idea of ‘Open Telecom Platform’ is known to pave a new way of collaboration between academia and industry and abridges talent acquisition.

This platform is going to kick start filling the gaps that have long since existed in Indian academia. Nikola Sucevic, Head –Data Science and his team developed and deployed numerous machine learning algorithms in Foresight as Open Telecom Platform.

For example Nikola’s Smart Network Coverage algorithm which accurately estimates the signal strength at any point all over India for deployed sites is the input for Jio’s 1.5 lakh crore network investment. This layer is the behind all the network as well as business decisions made at Jio.

Devarpan Sengupta, Lead – Technology Talent Acquisition, from HR has taken up the responsibility of promoting Open Telecom Platform as a way of talent recognition and collaboration with academia for including industry standards as part of research as well as curriculum.
