magicJack VocalTec Ltd, a leading cloud-based communications, made public the updated magicJack mobile app – rebranded as magicApp – for free calling on Android devices.

The updated magicApp from its part offers free worldwide over-the-top calling, followed by more streamlined account activation as well as a refreshed look and user experience.

magicApp is already in use by almost 7 million users, growth that has been driven largely by word of mouth. The Company will begin its first pro-active digital and social marketing and consumer awareness campaign for magicApp beginning this month.

“Over the last 90 days our app development, design and marketing team has defined a comprehensive roadmap for future feature and service enhancements to the magicApp,” alleged Tim McDonald, COO of magicJack.

Supplementing that – “This release reflects the first steps in our aggressive strategy to more effectively leverage our valuable mobile platform. Over the coming months we intend to release incremental, value add features enhancing what is already a compelling global service.”
