ManageEngine launches EC2 manager Android app for enterprises
ManageEngine has launched its free Android app named as EC2 manager. The app enables IT admins in SMBs and large enterprises to monitor the health and performance of EC2 instances remotely. With the help of the app admins can perform the EC2 management tasks on the go. They will also be able to help the admins in monitoring the performance of EC2 cloud instances on Amazon and receive alerts on the health of EC2 resources.
Talking about the app, Vidya Vasu, head of the ManageEngine community and free tools, said, “Proactive management is key to ensuring good health and performance of any resource on a network,” said. “When it comes to managing EC2 instances, admins will find instant access to alarms quite handy. Threshold-based alarms usually give admins time to turn things around. Being equipped with a mobile utility cuts down the turnaround time because the admin is able to act on the fault immediately.”
The EC2 Manager dashboard displays the monitored instances by region, enabling the admin to drill down to an instance quickly. The EC2 instance dashboard provides a snapshot of its status and health. This mobile application will give an additional advantage of allowing admins to manage the remote instances even when they are on the move.
