ManageEngine launches WiFi Monitor Plus app for SMBs

ManageEngine the IT management company has unveiled WiFi Monitor Plus app. This free app allows the IT admins in SMBs and large enterprises to monitor, analyze and survey WiFi signals in any area, directly from their Android mobile devices. The app has support for both the analyzer mode and the surveyor mode. When the app is being used in the analyzer mode the users will be able to view available networks, graphs of the scanned networks’ signal strength, and channels with interference. This will help the users in optimizing the WiFi connectivity. On the other hand, in the Surveyor mode, the app enables the user to survey a site for the best signal strength.

“IT admins responsible for ensuring good network connectivity will immensely benefit from this app. The channel interference graph that shows both co-channel and inter-channel interference is a unique functionality that adds value by equipping the IT admins with actionable information. They can quickly decide on a course of action such as turning off a channel to increase the WiFi signal strength”, said Vidya Vasu, Head of the ManageEngine Community and Free Tools.

The company has kept the user interface of the app very simple and it also lets the user to access important data including best signals, overlaps in a channel, and site locations with the best signal strength very quickly. Moreover, the app also enables the user to add its widget on the Homescreen from where the user can directly launch the app. Furthermore, the app will also benefit the IT admins as they insights on how to improve and enhance WiFi connectivity. The app is free and is available on the Google Play store for download.
